Disney World 2018 - Part 1

I'm finally getting around to getting through these Disney pics. So many pictures! It's making me miss Disney like crazy. :( We had a full week this time around at our favorite place to get a really good Disney experience and it was exhausting, amazing and insanely memorable with my favorite people!!

Here was our basic schedule - we didn't plan on having 6 park days, but we received an email before we left saying our hotel might have some construction. Shannon (my SIL) called to ask about it and they said they would give us an extra park hopper day for the troubles. That was good, because we planned on leaving one open pool day. Turns out the pool was closed the whole time (and most days it was cold so probably wouldn't have worked anyway). So here was our plan!

Saturday - arrived! Disney Springs: reservations at T Rex
Sunday - Epcot: reservations at Garden Grill (character breakfast), watch Vikings playoff game!
Monday - Animal Kingdom, late lunch reservations at Chef Mickey's (character lunch), Magic Kingdom
Tuesday - Hollywood Studios: lunch reservations at 50s Prime Time Cafe, Nate and Laura Epcot date!
Wednesday - Animal Kingdom: reservations at Tusker House (character breakfast), reservations at Rainforest Cafe, Nate and Bradley Magic Kingdom
Thursday - Magic Kingdom: reservations at Cinderella's castle (Princess breakfast), Nate and Laura Disney Springs date!
Friday - Magic Kingdom, Epcot: reservations at Tepan Edo, Epcot
Saturday - home

My parents are seriously the absolute best and not only took all of us on this amazing trip, but they flew out of Minneapolis with us so I could sit in a row with one of the girls (they each had a seat with their car seat), Nate could sit in a row with the other girl, and my parents sat with Bradley.

We had a super early flight and were good on time, until we were halfway to the airport and I realized I left 4 bottles of breast milk in the fridge! We maybe would have been ok because they usually don't eat out of bottles, but these were the only bottles I had to pump into as well, so back we went! They drank these when the pressure was bad so I was very glad we had them!

We made it! The girls stretched in the airport while I ran to get food (breastfeeding problems - always starving).

So excited to be in Orlando!

And so excited we are all together!

The first night we had reservations at T Rex Restaurant at Disney Springs. When you stay on property at Disney you have bus transportation everywhere which is great, but oh man were we a HOT MESS our first time figuring out how to get all the bags, two strollers, twins, Bradley, etc, onto the bus. My bro and SIL and their three boys are a little more efficient but still lots of work and stuff! Shannon and I looked at each other at the restaurant and said "we are doing this for 7 days?" Eek!

The cousins loved digging for bones!

Loved our table!

The next morning we were much more prepared and had a system on who would take babies, strollers, bags, etc. :) Looking more relaxed waiting for the bus.

Even midwesterners get cold in chilly Florida weather! :)

Made it to Epcot!

First stop - breakfast at Garden Grill with Chip and Dale! This breakfast was awesome! The restaurant super slowly rotates (it's above Soarin if you are familiar with the building) and they serve the food family style, so we got all of our food the second we sat down. My kind of eating!

Can kind of see the platter of food behind the Mickey waffles. Eggs, waffles, bacon, tator tots, cinnamon much food! The twins ate well, too!

Bradley LOVED Chip and Dale. Way more than Mickey!

Getting autographs.

Since it was pretty cold my mom and I went to Mouse Gear so the girls could stretch while everyone else started on Epcot rides. We found a corner and made ourselves comfortable! :)

I got a ton of my souvenirs from here (if you watched on my Instastories). We were excited to find Chip and Dale!

Lots of Epcot exploring!

Had to see all the Vikings stuff. :)

Hanging out on the ground of Norway.

Papa loves getting the boys treats and Bradley loves eating them!

Awesome first park day!

Then we went back to the hotel for the most amazing Vikings playoff game!

So that was day one! Phew! Lots more days to come!

  1. Where do you guys stay when you go? I'm trying to plan our first trip with our kiddos and so overwhelmed!!

    1. We have stayed at the Art of Animation our last two trips. We love it! We stay in the Cars suites that are the perfect size for each family. It will be even better when you don't have to take buses and can take the Skyliner everywhere!!
