Twin Nursery Inspiration

Now that I am feeling a million times better, I have been obsessed with figuring out the twins nursery! Putting together Bradley's nursery was one of the funnest projects EVER so I am pumped to get this one going. I am a Pinterest junkie and have tons of boards, but also have lots of private boards to pin things like thousands of nursery ideas. :) Now that we know the twins are girls, we have started up!

We started with closet paint since I adore Bradley's painted closet. Here are three that we liked. Valentine's Day, Amethyst Cream and Nate also added in Crocus all by Benjamin Moore. We also looked at a mint color but Nate vetoed since it is close to the laundry room color. We put up the samples and I loved the pink, but figured it would be easier to find pink curtains so we went with the top right purple. I will get some pics and post the closet soon!

Nate used the same purple to paint the dresser - wait until you see the finished dresser! So cute!

We also lucked out and found the perfect curtains that were dirt cheap from Homegoods. Two panels for $17 and we were looking at single panels for $72 each at Pottery Barn. So glad we saw these!

The room paint is Behr Quietude - the same as the dots on Bradley's walls. It is a super super pale grey, almost white, so we can focus on the pops of color from furniture and accents.

Then for my favorite part, the decor! I LOVE nurseries with kawaii touches - obviously unicorns that I keep posting on Instagram, but clouds, eyelashes, cupcakes, rainbows, cactus accents, anything fun really, are what I am going for. I love everything from A Little Lovely Company, but it is too expensive to ship to the US. So sad!

The style is similar to the type of baby girl clothing I love. :)

I grabbed these two things from Target when they were on sale but not sure how we will work it all in yet.

The start of the decor collection (before the dresser was painted obviously).

I also ran to our local Marshalls to see if they had any fun finds and they had the smallest kids section (like one rack) ever! I did find a couple treasures.

Got this beauty for Valentine's decor AND the nursery. :)

So that is where we are at! We are hoping to get things rolling fast since I am 21 weeks right now, and like I said before I will probably get immobile at some point in the next few months. Eek! Let the decorating begin!

New Years!

We had the best New Year's this year! The night before NYE we went over to a friend's house for a little kid's New Year's party. They had a blast!

Then for actual NYE, we went to the Mall of America with our friends Alex and Jina (who we ALWAYS hang out with on NYE but usually we stay in) and my parents because they were in town for the Vikings game! We thought it would be so fun to bring Bradley on some rides and eat at Benihana.

Bradley was so happy to see Mr Grouper!

The one problem - they kept the amusement park open super late for NYE so it was PACKED! We didn't end up bringing Bradley on any rides. And he is a tiny bit too short for the Bubble Guppies ride. Someday!

So we went and ate our delicious Benihana dinner. Bradley was amazing and played his ABCs and watched Guppies the whole time.

That is until the ice cream came out. :) Yum!

This kid. Loves his Papa so much! I told him to say "Cheese!" and he looked at Papa and did this! So sweet!

True love.

Then we came home and I took down Christmas. I'm always sad to take it down but also relieved. I take my holiday decor out promptly and put it away equally as promptly!

Bradley played with this firehouse that his cousins handed down to him! He is obsessed and loves moving the elevator up and down and flying the helicopter around.

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday!

Twins Genders Reveal!

We couldn't wait for our Level 2 Ultrasound to see the twins and obviously find out the genders. Nate and I found out at the appointment, and then we ordered cupcakes from our favorite Cocoa & Fig with filling to tell family! They did our wedding cupcakes and we just love them. We were all excited for the reveal!

My mom, Nate's dad and sister, and of course Bradley were at the reveal, and we Facetimed with my brother, SIL and nephews. We made everyone guess and my mom guessed two boys, Nate's dad and sister guessed one of each, my bro and SIL guessed two girls, our nephew Tyler guessed one of each, and nephew Blake guessed two boys.

We cut open the first and it was pink! Girl!

Then we cut open the second - also pink!

I think most of the family was shocked that it is two girls because we have so many boys! My parents only have grandsons, so this is a first! Blake was probably the most upset - he wanted more boys to play with. :) Bradley just wanted cupcakes.

I'm so glad we did a mini gathering instead of just texting everyone. It was much more exciting to make them wait during the day and see all at once. :) And delicious!

At our 12 week ultrasound (for twins) we had the tech guess what they appeared to be and she said girls. We knew to take that with a grain of salt because one of my best friends has twin girls and was told boys at her 12 week ultrasound! So even though I kept thinking girls, I wasn't sure.

I actually had purchased these outfits around Christmas from Walmart because I thought they were too cute and knew they would be gone by the time we found out. Obviously I kept the receipt in case I wouldn't be needing them. :)

A few bump shots! Growing quite a bit every day!!

This shirt has more meaning now. :)

The day after our reveal my mom took Bradley and me to Carters to pick out some girl clothes (Bradley got some treasures, too) since we have none! It was so fun to see all the cute pieces! And so weird to buy TWO of things! I'm so obsessed with these little unicorns for the nursery. Thanks mom!

We already are rocking and rolling on the nursery because we had a painter scheduled for this weekend! We need to get moving on things because once I hit the 30 week mark I know I will be very immobile and uncomfortable. So I am doing as much as I can now. Bring on all things girly!

Christmas 2016

I think I am now officially done with the Christmas posts! :) Christmas 2016 is in the books! On Christmas Eve we went to church with Nate's family. I think this is the first time I let the twin bump show itself! :)

Why do toddlers hate pics so much?

Then we came back to open a couple presents.

Bradley started ripping open Christmas presents when we weren't quite ready! This kid loves Christmas!

So many new toys! He opened up clothes and threw them to the ground. Ha!

We put out cookies, milk and reindeer treats for Santa hoping he would make it to our house!

He made it!

I was a little excited for my new toaster from Nate!

She's a beaut!

Bradley got lots of coloring books, crayons and markers. He loves scribbling!

Sprinkles was being funny and hid behind the tree.

He loves this Aquadoodle mat!

His dolls that he doesn't like. :)

Then we cooked up a storm for Nate's family to come over for Christmas dinner.

I wore my Christmas best. :)

Bradley loved showing off for everyone!

Turns out everyone loves to color. :)

Then it was back in matching jammies for bedtime stories. :)

I hope your Christmas was merry and bright!
