Week In Pictures

Recent happenings through the eyes of my phone camera.

Valentine's nails!!

Love the little heart. <3

My view most weekends - catching up on blogs with coffee and snacks.  Bliss.

I am a tumbler collector.  There are worse things to obsess over, right?

Sprinkles loves all these blizzards as much as we do.

Jamba addiction.  Berry Fulfilling is the best.

Missy added some more light to my hair!  Hoping it helps me look less pasty (a girl can dream).

I absolutely love both of these foundations, but if I could only choose one, I would pick Revlon!  For some reason this stuff works some magic on my face!  (I use the powder, too).

Natey always gets me my favorite cupcakes from Cocoa and Fig for Valetine's Day!  Love!

He also got me a Nutribullet so I can make my own Jamba at home!!

Switched to some brights to get me in the vacation mood.  This is much more neon in person - China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy.

I love seeing this face (and beard) every morning!!

And this one!

Last but not least, I finally got the color fiasco straightened out for my mixer!  Now I need lessons!

Happy weekend!

Work Outfits Part 3

I have made it two more full weeks in my job, and with the #closetremixchallenge on Instagram!  Only 11 more outfits to go and I will have made it the 30 days!  Here is a recap of these past two weeks.

The Monday outfit was one of my preplanned outfits.  I wore it as is and was so glad I had a couple preplanned outfits left.  Monday mornings are rough to decide on clothing!

Then that Tuesday I grabbed one of my favorite sweaters and wore with comfy jeans and flats.  Sometimes you just gotta go simple.

Sweater: Old Navy, Jeans: JBrand, Flats: Steve Madden, Necklace: Urban Outfitters

Wednesday was another favorite - the two tone cardi!  This cardigan is hard to figure out what to wear with other than jeans.  Makes me so happy that I can wear jeans to work everyday of the week!

Cardi: AE, Necklace: Etsy, Jeans: Alloy, Boots: Heartbreaker

Thursday was another oldie but a goodie - the dots shirt!  I prefer it with the crazy skirt, but it is a little too cold to wear that in Minnesota right now!

Shirt: Target, Jeans: Citizens of Humanity, Necklace: Urban Outfitters

Friday I brought out one of my favorite scarves!  I like that you can wear it with really any color, but this time I went with the same tones.  PS - how cute is Sprinkles in the background??

Cardi: H&M, Scarf: Target, Henley: Alloy, Jeans: JBrand

The Monday of Valentine's week I brought out the hearts!  This is one of my absolute favorite cardigans - not only is it cute, it is the softest thing in the world!  Wish they had more colors of it!

Cardigan: Forever21, Blouse: NY&Co, Jeans: Alloy

I couldn't find my leggings for a good two weeks, so when I found them mixed in with workout wear, I was so happy!!  (Made sense why I couldn't find them - haven't worked out in MONTHS!  Eek!)  I definitely need at least one more pair of leggings so this doesn't happen again!

Jacket, Leggings, and Tunic: Target, Scarf: BP, Belt: H&M, Boots: Steve Madden

I pretty much threw this outfit together on Wednesday because I wasn't feeling well.  I recently purchased this tank at Target and LOVE how long it is.  Probably will go back for more!

Cardi and Tank: Target, Necklace: JCP, Jeans: Alloy

I was super excited for Valentine's Day on Thursday, so I broke out some more hearts!  Lots of mixing of pinks and purples, but sometimes you need color!

Cardi: H&M, Tshirt: Forver21, Necklace: NY&Co

Since Friday was Valentine's Day, I got to wear my favorite lips shirt!  Makes me happy to feel festive!  I always try to dress for the season! :)

Top: Forever21, Jeans: Alloy

I noticed one of the fashionistas I follow on Instagram was also wearing it!  Her photo shows the full color of the shirt (my dirty mirror and wretched lighting does not).

Who else is doing the #closetremixchallenge?  Are you still motivated?

What's In My Purse

Like the makeup bag post (which is due for an update!  I have been good and been doing my makeup at home!), I love these types of posts.  There is something great about peeking into someone's purse, don't you think? Maybe I am just way too nosy, but I love it!  When I was little I always wanted to dig around in my mom's purse.  She wasn't so supportive of that.  But to this day I would love to play in other people's purses and see what treasures they have!

I can tell you one thing that is NOT in my purse - money!  I am terrible about ever having cash on me - I know for safety you should always have some, but I truly never do.  Oops!

I always have a full purse  I like knowing that when in need, I have most things to save the day (who needs a tampon??  I usually have 40).  There is a ton more crap in all the inner pockets that wasn't exciting enough to share (hairspray, bobby pins, safety pins, hair binders, Aleve, etc).

Most of the items are basics.  Hairbrush, notebook, planner, hand lotion (required for MN winters), gum, a few makeup items, and a couple options (I always bring my own polish to the nail salon).

My wallet and small makeup bag are MZ Wallace.  Sweet sweet MZW.

I still use a paper planner.  I can't give it up!  I need to get a new one because this planner ends in August, and that is just not enough calendar to plan ahead!  #nerdprobz

I am not a brand name girl, but when it comes to purses, MZ Wallace is all I will use!  I have had my purse since Christmas 2008 (from amazing SIL and bro) and it still looks pretty darn good.  You can just wipe with a damp cloth and these purses are spotless again!  For sure the highest quality purse I have ever had.  I just know it will last forever.  My favorite part is that it isn't emblazoned with logos.  I promise I wasn't paid by them (however that would be amazing!!), they are just the best purses ever!  Right now she is in need of a good wipe down but with the winter weather, it is almost pointless until it gets nice again!

This Jane shape is the absolute greatest!  Just the right amount of pockets and space.  Obsessed.

I have never purchased any of these purses at full price - a few times a year they will have super big sales and you can get great deals!  If you want black, those pretty much never go on sale.

The MZ Wallace Facebook page has a great album of some customer's amazing MZW bags and what the contents hold.  I submitted mine a long time ago and it is up there, too.  Woo!

I don't use that purse all the time anymore.  It is one of their leather type purses that can get worn faster.  I prefer the nylon - it lasts forever!  (This shape is the Alice - a little wider and shorter than the Jane).  But I am obsessed with this color so it still gets used.

So what's in your purse?  You know I want to know!

Work Outfits Part 2

Two weeks down with the new job!  My first week outfits were recapped here, and this is what I ended up wearing last week!

Monday our work was closed because of weather (have you ever heard of a more CARING workplace??  Love!) so I was in jam jams all day.  We will start with Tuesday!

I did end up wearing one of my planned outfits (details in the link!) and loved!  I often am one of the few people in color in a sea of black and grey, but it is ok to be different!

Wednesday was another pseudo planned outfit, but instead of the skinnies, I went with MiH flares.  Still worked just felt a little comfier.

Thursday was a random!  It wasn't planned but felt right.  Sometimes you just have to wear what your heart tells you to. :)  (Don't miss the Sprinkles photo bomb!)

Top: Limited, Cardi: Loft, Necklace: Francesca's, Jeans: JBrand, Heels: Target

Friday was another planned outfit!  Loved having so many planned and ready to go so I could just put them on and be out the door!  I am in need to do more, so that will be coming ASAP!  This easily saves me 15 minutes in the morning.  And lots of anger.

Again, you have probably already seen these on my Instagram, but thought I would do a recap since fashion is something that is helping me get through this RETCHED winter!  Stay warm, fashionistas!
