Week In Pictures

Recent happenings through the eyes of my phone camera.

Back to OPI Mod About You - thanks Tuong!

Chimi's toys were in her bed but this girl was sleepy!

Sprinkles listening to Nate play the guitar (that he doesn't know how to play).

I have been living on chopped salads recently!  I guess there are worse addictions.

Our little owl heads.

Came home to Iowa for Easter!  Pedis with one of my best high school girlfriends was first on the agenda.

Then we had lunch with Gram and Papa!

After that, I made my sweet mom shop at Hobby Lobby with me for an hour or so (we don't have them in the Twin Cities!  The horror!).  First sent this pic to Nate to see if he liked for our living room - made my mom get in the pic to show scale. :)  He said no.  Rats.

Next sent him this pic for a possible piece in our guest bedroom!  He said yes, but both were scratched.  Double rats!

I still found a bunch of treasures including ribbon, wreath forms and deco mesh (I LOVE DECO MESH!!).

Also got two cute frames and an R!  I want a Hobby Lobby close-by!

Came home and started working on a patriotic wreath for my parents lake house.  Need to find some ribbon to complete!

My dad is under there

Then today is Easter!  Love my mom's decorations. ;)

The little girls loved the bunnies, too!

Then we went to the farm for Easter lunch with the family!  Gram had the place all decorated for Easter.

And we made Papa show us some tricks!

My Aunt Peggy made the funniest Peeps driving cars! :)

I always get so excited to see my cousin Molly!  We are only a few months apart in age and have always been not only cousins, but best girlfriends!

Dang, sometimes being so tall sucks.  Another cousin capturing this.

But how stylish and cute is Molly?  I love her outfit (and her) so much!

Such a great week!  I always get a little sad when I come back home just because I don't get to see everyone as much as I would like to.  But I am so thankful for amazing family and friends.  Hope everyone had a happy Easter!

Fashion Friday!

When Lindsey and I were taking more Fashion Friday pics a few weeks ago it was in the 20's outside and snowing.  So we took indoor pics in our living room!  The little girls loved it so they could appear in the photos as well.

This blouse is lightweight enough to wear in the Spring/Summer, or throw on a sweater and layer for Winter.  I actually wore it to a concert last summer in 90 degree weather.  People looked at me like I was crazy, but I don't love my skin touching things at concerts (seats, other people, other people's sweat flying) - is that weird?

Scarf: Kohl's, Blouse: Ann Taylor, Sweater: NY&Co, Jeans: Alloy

To Chop or NOT to Chop?

I have been obsessed with cutting my hair into cute short entire life.  I feel like I was always growing my hair, then cutting into random bobs, then growing again.  The first major chop I had was in high school after seeing Sliding Doors (one of my all time favorite movies to this day).  In the movie, Gwyneth chops her hair as a fresh start and it was an ah-ha moment for me.

Chop away Aunt Peggy!  I have never gotten more compliments on a haircut in my life than this one.  It was definitely late '90s chic, but perfect since that is when it was cut!

(You know how some people look amazing in old pictures?  I am not one of those people).

When I was an NFL Cheerleader for six years, my hair was under contract so I wasn't able to make any changes.  Post cheering, I did a mid but not risky chop.  I brought in this picture...

...but got this cut (pics circa 2010).

It was ok, but not quite as chic as I was hoping.  A little too soccer mom for me.  As it was growing out, I started going to Spalon and felt she shaped it a little more chic-er.

But then kept growing for my wedding in May 2011, and have kind of kept it long since.  Alas, I am getting the cutting bug!

I recently discovered the In Style Hollywood Makeover because Melissa Rycroft must be getting the cutting bug, too.  LOVED these ones she posted.

So I decided to try for myself.  Super hilarious and I look ridiculous but can't stop!

Moral of the story, I think I need to cut and be over it.  My coworker found this pic - a possible winner!

Anyone else constantly thinking of changing their hair or am I a weirdo?

Week In Pictures

Recent happenings through the eyes of my phone camera.

Cute new note cards from Target!  Can always use stationary.

Chimi always finds cozy nooks to snuggle. :)

Six pairs of my favorite lashes for $17.49 on Amazon???  Why have I not done this before?

My coworker had Spring nails that were too fun so I had to copy her!  Love Spring colors!

I was SO excited for crab night with girlfriends on Wednesday this week!  I recently purchased this sweater.

And even wore it to work! :)

Then came home to get ready and switched to jeans...

But crab night with girlfriends was almost a bust - arrived at Mystic Lake and this was the buffet line.

Plan B - we headed to Red Lobster (no one told me they had crab legs!!) and had a BLAST!!

They were delish!

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday!
